As soon as we had installed 360 Total Security quickly and without a hitch, the antivirus launched and displayed the message: “Your computer has not been examined yet” on a tabbed user interface that prominently displayed the “Examine” button. Many antivirus programs take a rather long time during the initial scanning, but 360 Total Security took just about a minute to complete the whole process from the Start tab. When we checked our system for viruses from the Virus Scan tab and selected full scan, the process took about half an hour. That was due to the fact that we had opted to scan all files, including compressed ones, under Settings. During that time, it scanned 135,848 files, some of which were more than 100 MB. We could also choose either quick or custom scan. We also allowed the program to indicate bootup time after booting and the various ways we wanted the antivirus to protect our computer. The Speedup tab includes two options: easy speedup and bootup time. Under easy speedup, the program listed unnecessary startup programs that we could disable to shorten the time the computer took to boot, which we could monitor under the bootup time option. 360 Total Security is an intuitive startup booster that allows you to monitor its performance.
